Greeting Sign of Spring

Spring is about wild flowers, seed germination, bees, new bud and twigs, the exploded deep green colours of the landscape, and smells soo good..in the afternoon brisk walks or during biking. Those are the changes that we are thankful for and are kind invitation to spend more time being outdoor. Here I collect my illustrations from time to time when the spring come.

Snowdrop/Galanthus Vivalis.
Primrose/Primula Vulgaris Huds/Primel

When they appears, it is time to let the winter go away.

Some days in March 2025, light blue tone colour appears to the Schneeberg in Lower Austria while walking in the morning. I took picture of it and increase my speed back to my house as I wanted to successfully paint them since several time ago, evoking the moods. I used gouache and little part of it mixed with my self-homemade walnut ink.

Meanwhile, we just got the first semester report of our kids in the school, I took notes on what the teacher wrote on it. As it impact a strong affirmation, I noticed the words and added it on my illustration resulting a moving art print.

Schneeberg. 2025. The final A4 and A5 art print are now available in my online shop.

The art print apparently catched attention a pregnant young mother brought his school age son during my first art market sale coming to my booth. I suppose that she has choosen it intentionally as message for his son. I was soo glad. It was my first sale of my art. A family relative saw it and directly order a custom folding greeting card. So now they are available too in my online shop.

Dandelion & Ajuga Wildflowers.
The green and yellow colour tone start to dominance when the wildflowers Dandelion and the other blue violet flower grows together spreading all over the fields, on the garden grass, on side walks, everywhere..even between stone paving blocks or cracked asphalts.
From drawing using brush pens in sketchbook into prints.
The female flowers of walnut bloom appear first.
The male flowers of walnut trees appear later, and then will be falling down after some weeks.
Daisies and germinated seeds in the garden of Reichenau’s castle, Reichenau an der Rax.
The Lilac flowers from the bushes that we planted about 7 years ago in the garden .

Soon the sun become more intense and give stronger warm, the Daisy (Gänseblumen) appears.
It was very early spring when we visited Reichenau an der Rax. The mountain still giving me curiosity to draw its pattern.  We took a seat and breath the sunlight in front of Schloss Reichenau while my son collected the wild Daisy (Gänseblumen). He found and showed me a nut seed with sprout on it buried between the grass. I supposed it was seed from horse chestnut tree as it was the tree when I looked my head up, a mature almost old one. We found more and more of them, because apparently it is germination season!

It is also the season when the bees are working soo hard! Thousands of flowers on dozens of trees, blossom in the same time. Soo, no time for distractions! Otherwise they would missing the flowers that will be fall within 2 weeks, blown away by wind and rain!

Separates hand drawings and sketches of mine on Schneeberg view, the Lilac flowers, Violet Pimrose then are composed together digitally.
